Today on St Barnabas Day, we give thanks for Barnabas, the “son of encouragement” (Acts 4:36). We are named after Barnabas, a good man, full of faith and the Holy Spirit. He strengthened the body of Christ and advocated for Paul when others were hesitant (Acts 9:26–27).

Ela pode acarretar um custo pessoal profundo.” Bloom acrescentou: “Seguir a Cristo pode significar rejeição, vigilância, intimidação, prisão ou isolamento. Muitos adoram em silêncio e com coragem, com suas Bíblias escondidas, suas reuniões em segredo, muitas vezes invisíveis para o mundo, mas plenamente vistas por Deus e lembradas por nós.”

Sovereign Lord, we rejoice in Your victory over the grave in raising the Lord Jesus from the dead. Please inhabit the praises of Your Church worldwide as we exalt Your Name today. Amen.

Today at Barnabas, we remember and celebrate Good Friday. On the day of sacrifice and true love, Jesus, in His perfection, willingly gave His life for the sins of us, His children. John 19:30 "Jesus said, 'It is finished.' With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit."

✝️ Today marks Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent - a season of reflection, prayer, and service. May this Lent be a time of renewal for all who observe it.
