I’ve been to brick kilns in Pakistan, just like the one in this video. The unbearable heat, smell and misery is hard to explain.

Hurricane Melissa – Please help rebuild churches in Jamaica and the Caribbean
Hurricane Melissa ripped through the Caribbean earlier this week leaving a trail of destruction across Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Cuba, the Bahamas and Bermuda.
Jamaica took the brunt, with torrential rain and terrifying winds of up to 185mph causing catastrophic damage to homes and hospitals, schools and churches.

Christians are severely persecuted in Pakistan. With over 1 million Christians held as bonded labourers - effectively modern day slaves, and others facing the daily threat of false blasphemy allegations, it is hard place to be a follower of Jesus.
If it wasn’t for organisations like @BarnabasAid you’d never hear about these tragic stories. Use your voice to call for greater awareness of the suffering our brothers and sisters are going through.

In a world obsessed with celebrity engagements - this is proper news! @afneil is amongst the UK’s most respected journalists and commentators. Unless his X account has been hacked, then this is not fake news but a genuine, copper bottomed, gilt edged, gold plated scandal.

It is one of the great scandals of our time. Drax, which generates electricity by burning trees imported as pellets from North America, is more expensive than gas, more polluting than coal and more dependent on imports than oil. Yet it is, incredibly, designated as ‘sustainable biomass’, pocketed £870m in subsidies last year and will likely trouser another 2 billion subsidies over the next four years – all to allow Ed ‘The Zealot’ Miliband to include Drax in his net zero calculations. Not just a scandal but an expensive scandal for the taxpayer.
