Leaders, Your presence matters more than you think. When you’re there with your people, in the fight with your people, they feel a sense of importance and priority. When they feel prioritized, they can make your priorities their own. Absent leaders aren’t truly leading. Barking orders isn’t leading. Show up and let your people see you.

If you’re taking action toward bettering yourself, I applaud you. Read books. Exercise. Have difficult conversations. Buy less, invest more. Most ads or influencers are selling you that temporary happiness beats out self-improvement. It’s BS. Don’t buy in. Do the work. 👏🏽

The abuse of power sits in the absence of character. This is why we are often warned about the allure of obtaining power, as it can lead to the erosion of prioritizing what’s good and true for the whole. Power becomes the goal of the individual. Then it becomes the need for those who lack the integrity to use it for the benefit of others. Power most greatly serves the whole when it is wielded by those who don’t desire it.
