Bridget Moran was undoubtedly the kindest, most genuine person I’ve come across in this job. A stalwart of Oulart-The Ballagh and Wexford Camogie, quietly irreplaceable in the glory days of the game in the county, did so much more than her title of ‘first aid’.

Can we get some Drs into asses the state of Wexford football and make sure we stay at the ‘top’ table or is it only hurling that we care about? Tell those 140 chaps on the u14 hurling panel that we are actually a decent football county too. 👍

Football League Roinn 3 Full time Wexford - 2.16 (22) Westmeath - 1.18 (21) We’ve done it, what a finish, Paraic Hughes won the kickout ran it up the field and into the square, falls to Cian Hughes who passes it across the Sean Ryan who absolutely nails it!!! What a day, what a group!!

People may yearn for All-Irelands in September but plotting out a calendar for local club fixtures and if you’re an Offaly club hurler you know this evening where and when all of your games are until September.

@SylDoyle Plus another 5 weeks on top of the 7 weeks for Naomh Eanna to wait so thats 12 week wait, nearly double the time, plus St Thomas didnt have drop their hurls for 7 weeks inbetween to play football, no comparison

The full clip of the Johnny Glynn choking incident. Notice the marks visible on neck At what point does it pass into assault territory? The amount of force he is applying to neck is terrifying. Have people not learned from George Floyd thing not to do this? #gaabeo @officialgaa

@lonesharkoy @BarryMcGonigle @CloyneGaa I think there may have been something last yr about promotion, not sure, not saying i fully agree with Donal Og on his comments, difference is Meath hurlers target at start of year is win Christy Ring, Meath footballers target wasnt to win Tailteann Cup, thats issue with Tailteann

@ColinSunderlan5 @BarryMcGonigle @CloyneGaa Players from some of those counties would disagree with you, but there's some merit in that point - however. Show me the part where Donal Óg batted for more coverage of the lower tier hurling, and I'll entertain the faint possibility that was the point he was aiming for.

Appalling language from Dónal Óg, the mask slips in a big way. It's not about the promotion of hurling at all, it's about Munster supremacy and getting digs in at "disappointed also rans". I wonder if he'd describe @CloyneGaa the same way, seeing as they don't play senior either.
RTÉ GAA@RTEgaa

Dónal Óg Cusack looks ahead to the weekend's hurling action where Waterford and Clare go head to head, and after a week when how hurling is presented and produced took centre stage, he argues that the sport deserves extra support and protection. rte.ie/sport/hurling/… #RTEGAA

@lonesharkoy @BarryMcGonigle @CloyneGaa Difference between lower tier hurling championships n Tailteann Cup is, at start year hurling teams aim to win their championship and thats their main goal because they know thats their championship, unfortunately Tailteann Cup is just a fall back when dont make Sam McGuire comp

@BarryMcGonigle @CloyneGaa No, they're just "dedicated volunteers who need the support of the GAA" - as long as that support doesn't involve anything that might threaten the golden circle at the top, of course. When he says he wants more hurling on TV, he sure as hell doesn't mean Christy Ring Cup.
