Take away the rivalry and gloating from both sides of Edinburgh this week. There has to be something in how unprepared Scottish clubs are for these qualifiers. Been happening for years. Is it a case they could open the league cup group stages to the clubs that have Europe.

Shocking performance. Can be unfair to single out one player but Jamie McCart was absolutely abysmal Make no mistake, a defeat this heavy falls on the managers selection. Played far too attacking for a Champions League Qualifier away from home in the first game of the season with a unexperienced team Midfield was wide open. Tie is finished before it’s even begun… Manager has potentially cost us European football with this one tie… Big lesson for Vrancken tonight

@ThisMyStoryPod How our 3rd/4th choice CB from last year becomes our 1st choice is mind boggling. Not all on him but if McCart doesn't play for us again, I'm fine with that.

Second half a complete difference from the first. Defense mistakes and lack of any structure defensively has killed us.

@scotball_ New manager has only seen some of these players in training and maybe a couple of 45mins during games, this squad will evolve and change, wouldn't even surprise me with 3/4 in and 3/4 out before the window closes. Decisions needed to be made due to timescale for Champions league

@joe_284 Magnusson ball recovery is good. Sometimes that ball recovery comes because he's had a brainfart and lost the ball. Cuts that out his game, he'll do fine. McEntee for me just now with Renaud, until hopefully Ageu.

I won’t lie i always liked devlin at hearts and beni was great aswell but i think magnusson and Renaud as a duo could be a huge upgrade Especially with guendouz in front of them.

If I was Lennon Miller, Connor Barron and/or Andy Irving and I was overlooked for a lad who had played 17 minutes of competitive, pro football, I’d be telling Clarke to ram his team up his arse. Inexplicable decision.
