Garmadon was actually stupid cus how do u get the Magical MacGuffins and then NOT have any idea what to do with them OR what they can and can't do??? Most villains already know what their swords or staffs are capable of, I think Garmadon genuinely has zero thoughts in his head.

@MaplePeache It is sad, and heck made Iroh didn't like the idea, but looking at their situation objectively without personal feelings it's what had be done. Iroh knows Azula won't listen no matter what so he knew they had to be ready to take her down if the situation called for it

@zumaiquotes I mean what was he supposed to do just let her try to bring them to jail or have killed? Iroh knows there's nothing they could say to her to get her to stop so they have to be ready and willing to defend themselves, heck right after this Iroh taught Zuko a defensive move

@zumaiquotes The thing Iroh isn't stupid he knows Azula won't listen no matter what they say. In this situation he has to think practically, she'd definitely try to kill them if needed and he knows that so he has to prioritize survival over family values
