And quite obviously the incompetent, embarrassing, cringeworthy idiot Liam Rosenior needs to go tonight. What a shameful stain on the position of Chelsea manager he has been.

True or False? More Irish people would rather qualify for the Football World Cup (Ireland's top sport) than win the Rugby World Cup.

@ColinY43 @ExtremeFootbal4 That’s irrelevant. Less spectators, less money. Soccer fans live off English soccer teams. Poor support for actual Irish teams across the island.

@DjmComments @ExtremeFootbal4 That's inconsequential. National team soccer unites the country like no other sport . I'm a fan of both but I'll guarantee you given a vote, soccer would win.

@DaleJohnsonBBC He can and he did , but he shouldn't have , thats the point here . We should be trying to reduce subjectivity. Instead of defending VAR you should be calling out refereeing inconsistency. If VAR ultimately isn't there to reduce that... what's the actual point?

But he literally can. They are subjective situations and it's entirely possible to think one is a penalty and the other is not.
Aaron Williams@Brownplaydo1984

@DaleJohnsonBBC End of the day the Ref can't say it wasn't a penalty at one end but is at the other end both are pens end of but at 2-0 if United get the penalty they should of it's game over

@DaleJohnsonBBC @shihonia99 It's not , but it should be and thats half the issue. The problem tonight was the ref... you cannot give one and not the other, it's as simple as that .

On Amad and Evanilson penalty situations. Both might or might not have been penalties. They are subjective, in the grey zone. So on-field decision stands. VAR's role is not, and ever has been, to create consistency of decision making. Each is judged individually. #BOUMUN

@McFlybowy @KrissCollins3 He played 2 seasons as an out and out striker and scored 34 goals each season. 26 & 27 in the PL respectively. So he definitely could!!

Rooney has one of the most overrated individual careers for a Striker for all his years in England, he never won a single Golden Boot. And when you dig deeper, it becomes even clearer. Wayne Rooney only won the PFA Player of the Year once in his entire career the 2009/10 season. For someone who played over a decade at the very top with Manchester United, in dominant title-winning teams, that’s not the record of a player who consistently imposed himself as the best in the league. And that tells you a lot when you’re discussing him among the very elite. Because when we talk about the greatest attackers, individual dominance has to come into the conversation not just team success. That’s the key difference. Rooney was a brilliant footballer complete, selfless, tactically intelligent. He sacrificed his game for the team, dropped deep, created, pressed, and did the dirty work. But when we talk about the very top-tier attackers, it’s not just about being good for the team it’s about individual dominance and he doesn’t have that The best strikers of a generation take over seasons. They win Golden Boots, stack up individual awards, and separate themselves clearly from everyone else. Compare that to Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski, and Luis Suárez players who didn’t just contribute, but dominated. Multiple top-scorer awards, historic goal numbers, seasons where they were undeniably the best. Rooney had moments. Those players had eras. So when people elevate Rooney purely off nostalgia, it needs balance. He’s a legend of the game, no question but individually, he never reached that consistent, season-defining level that separates the great from the undeniable elite.

One detail many people miss… When Mason was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, treatment resources were far more limited than today. Many parents had to fight for therapy, schooling, and basic support on their own. Another overlooked detail… After Pretty Woman, Laura San Giacomo was being offered bigger film roles. Instead, she chose television work in Los Angeles so she could stay close to home and keep a stable routine for her son.

She had Hollywood at her feet. And then, she made a choice that left everyone speechless. In the late 1980s, Laura San Giacomo was the new rising star of American cinema. In 1989, she walked the Cannes red carpet with her debut film, which won acclaim at the festival. A year later, she starred alongside Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, playing Kit De Luca—the witty, loyal friend audiences adored. The film grossed over $463 million worldwide. Golden Globe nominations. International recognition. Scripts piling up by the dozens. She was 28. The industry was ready to make her a household name. Then her son Mason was born. The diagnosis came early: cerebral palsy. Doctors spoke of limits. Of what he wouldn’t be able to do. Of a life “different” from what they imagined. Laura listened. But inside, she felt something else. She realized she had two paths ahead. She could continue chasing a career filled with distant sets, endless promotional tours, unpredictable schedules. Or she could stay. Be present. Build a stable daily life for the child who would need time, consistency, and attention. She chose Mason. Not as a sacrifice. As a priority. In 1997, she accepted a role on the sitcom Just Shoot Me!. A stable set in Los Angeles, predictable hours, no endless travel. For seven seasons and 148 episodes, she continued working at a high level, earning more Golden Globe nominations, while taking Mason to therapies, school meetings, and medical appointments. And those “limits” that had been predicted? They were not the final word. Mason learned to play basketball. He learned to communicate through technology. He surpassed expectations that had seemed like verdicts. Laura also became an advocate. She spoke at conferences on inclusive education. She worked with schools and organizations. She helped change the conversation around disability: “Disability is natural. It has always existed. It is part of life.” After the sitcom ended, she didn’t disappear. She acted for four seasons on Saving Grace, spent years on NCIS, and continued to work—on her own terms. Many called it compromise. She called it balance. She didn’t leave Hollywood. She simply refused to let Hollywood decide what truly mattered. Because sometimes, the most important role isn’t the one that earns you fame on the big screen. It’s the one you play every day, away from the spotlight. And Laura San Giacomo showed that you can be an actress and a mother—without apologizing for either. Success isn’t just what the world applauds. It’s what you choose to protect.

@JohnBurrowsCFB And thats fair enough . I think your original post got Jordan fans backs up because it wasn't a debate, reasoned or otherwise. It came across as a statement that Jordan fans had no idea about basketball if they viewed him as No.1.Also, at the end of the day it's all just opinion.

I wasn’t trying to make an arguement, I was just relaying an experience I’ve had. Didn’t think it would blow up like this, but obviously it did and now Jordan fans are here to debate/insult. If they want to have a legitimate discussion I’m happy to now that this tweet is where it is

It’s funny to me how many Jordan fans swear putting him anywhere below 1 means you don’t know ball but everybody I’ve talked to that works or has worked in an NBA front office (pretty large sample size) says LeBron and it’s not close. I’ve heard more NBA employees put Jordan outside of their top 2 than put him 1st. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some that would, but the number is very, very low. If there was somehow a draft with ever NBA prospect ever and you said you’d take Michael Jordan over LeBron James you’d be laughed out of the room. I’ve only ever heard one other name and it was not Jordan. Michael Jordan was hands down the greatest player of his generation and will always be one of the most iconic figures in sports but there are levels to it. Nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
Hoops@Hoopss

I think the goat debate is over now LeBron #1, Jordan #2.

@JohnBurrowsCFB @Fuller33 @dezignmind @VelliMach Well no , he gave a reasoned argument backed up by stats as to why Jordan was better defensively. Your argument was that LeBron should have been but the game was rigged .You gave no reasons or statistics as to why LeBron should have been. Its a text book definition of 'destroyed'
