@StevieR60@HillsboroughSu1@Everton@LFC Not justifying it just saying kicking off outside the ground has been around for some amount of time so I dont know what they expect almost like they were looking for a fight
@Everton your security needs seriously reviewing for away fans. One of our members has described getting into the ground today with bottles getting thrown at @LFC fans, murderers chants, flares in faces and punches being thrown.
Shame on all those involved 😡
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap Going back to maxed out ticket prices, tell that to some of those flag wavers on the Kop that I know have multiple season tickets and sell them on every game for 4 or 5 times face value.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap Bend over for who... The owners who spent years building the club and lobbying for a salary cap and better financial sustainability? The protests are aimed at the wrong people.
Sick of seeing the cost of energy cited in rationale for ticket prices going up.
The footballers would not be playing in the dark if supporters weren't there.
And midweek games wouldn't be kicking off at 2pm on a Wednesday when Europe's TV audience is in work.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap PSR and now SCR do exactly what you are saying they don't, they determine competitiveness. There is a direct correlation between squad salaries and performance on the pitch. Most of the money the club generates goes straight into the pockets of players.
@Colin_Macca1@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap And the price rises don't determine whether we can compete. If that's the case ask the players who people campaign to get these wages to pay it out of their pocket. You'll never ever see a Mo Salah or VVD ask for price reductions for us but we all demand they get their contracts.
@Colin_Macca1@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap I don't want players to pocket 400k...and I also don't see football as a normal business. It's a fukn game..for the community. I can't fathom anyone who see's it as anything else. Imagine going the game and having nothing in common with everyone around you.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap But players do pocket these wages and none of the fans have a go at them... Just the owners. I don't want price rises either.. but until there is a cap on these ridiculous wages it will continue to happen. But this clown at TAW is at best a hypocrite and at worst a sycophant.
@Colin_Macca1@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap So you're pointing to demand as the reason local fans should accept price rises. Well if that's the case I'd rather we never gain anymore fans. I don't want us to be competitive but I'm fukn pushed out as a result. You'd have to be mental to want that.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap Have they? Have attendances fallen? If that is the case why are clubs so desperate to expand their stadia? The club owners have pushed for cost controls via salary caps. The PL said no, so players like Salah pocket £400k a week. Either you want the club competitive or you don't.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap He can increase the number of subscribers...unlike the club who have admitted they've maxed out the grounds capacity. As for the drop in the ocean comment £8m profit from over £700m turnover and SCR coming in next season and possibly no CL.
@antogs_maldini@Knox_Harrington@TheAnfieldWrap What I am saying is that this fella is a hypocrite. He has access to tickets, the latest financial info from his business suggests he makes a lot of money from it. His whole business model is monetising fans based largely on a product the club creates. Will he run it at a loss?
🎟️ If ticket prices followed inflation since 1990, they'd be £10.20 today.
With revenue from commercial and TV now representing 83% of turnover, ticket price increases are not necessary ⬇️
