Champion Trainer but is he honest? Retro fitted and fabricated an invoice to provide a false alibi for a hidden ownership! The George Gently case may have closed with a £6,000 fine for Dan Skelton - but there was a problematic ending to it | Racing Post racingpost.com/news/the-front…

I’m often critical of @Cartmelrace but the 48 hour flash sale of £10 off Paddock tickets using the code CARTMEL48 for the first summer meeting is a step in the right direction

@cassidy_jack12 @RacingPost They lost me a few years ago. They weren’t bothered never even got a reminder to say I hadn’t renewed and nothing to encourage me to rejoin a year later

@RacingPost having a bit of tension with loyal racegoers is a slippery slope. Cheltenham’s magic relies on that community vibe. let’s hope Lavender strikes the right balance or they might lose some of that loyal fanbase.

Football has a huge problem with goalkeepers feigning injury and I say as that as a Barrow fan who had Farman. Needs sorting for next season and beyond.

@h2_r0r @TheRealfarmer1 @Adam_Johno85 Yes Gallagher lost five games but Shrewsbury apart at least the team tried to play football. The lads signed in Jan came for Gally and imo we should have stuck with him. Dino got lucky against Colchester but nobody not even the players knew what his tactics were. He was clueless

The sooner this season ends the better Disaster after disaster. 11 games left now - each and everyone of those players owes it’s loyal fanbase performances Do I trust that to happen - answers on a postcard

@CMAltree @bafc_lancaster @Colin__Beach Agreed; we even played a bit of attacking football on Friday, Barky was bombing forward etc. Then last we literally resort to McCann or Canavan standing at centre back and kicking it long towards the wing and hoping for the best, surprising that didn’t work really isn’t it

I very much get the no full backs thing (I might have mentioned it once or twice…) but surely you could try say Shipley at left back and Jackson at right back, we’ve now to lose really. And then that frees up at least Barky to counter the “we’ve got no wingers really”

Barrow AFC head coach said he can fully understand the frustrations of the club’s fans after the Bluebirds relegation fears deepened with a 0-2 home defeat to Bristol Rovers. #bbcfootball #barrowafc #bluebirds #bafc

@StuartAkister @bafc_lancaster I don’t know what Dinos tactics are I question wether the players do too. Colchester would and should have beaten us comfortably if they had put numerous chances away. We got lucky. The guy was out of the game for a long time for a reason.

It’s mad how the EFL can sort a vote to increase the promotion opportunities for Championship clubs to the PL - yet still nothing on a second automatic place from the National League to L2. No club promoted from the NL to L2 has ever come straight back down…
The Athletic | Football@TheAthleticFC

There will be more routes to reach the Premier League from next season after an English Football League (EFL) vote was passed to expand the Championship play-offs from four teams to six. The team finishing eighth in the Championship will get the chance to win promotion to the top flight under the expanded play-off structure from 2026-27. @BAFCSAMUEL234 The managers job is to motivate organise the players tactically.I have not seen any of that under Dino. His interview with Adam after the game was evasive and just pure waffle. There is a reason he has been out of the game for so long before coming here.

@KieranMaguire Unlike soccer NFL is not a global sport, You cap the PL top players would simply go to a country who had no salary cap to maximise their earnings

Unlike football, the NFL operates a flat salary cap (and collar) which limits player salaries to $301.2m (for the season). This means there is greater competitive balance, as evidenced by having 7 Super Bowl champions in last 10 years.
Brian McCarthy@NFLprguy

NFL clubs were informed today that the salary cap for the ’26 season will jump $22 million per club to $301.2 million. Add in another $77.6m in benefits & that’s $378.8m per club in player spending. Tremendous growth

@StuartAkister A profit and loss itemised publication of accounts would be much more transparent. These dont tell us much expect without the owners financial input we are screwed. Not sure how long they can sustain these loses for though

@SteveWhistonV7 @silverrich39 @SteveWhistonV7 3/3 The money saved on police and supporting victim of crime costs would be enormous and that could be used to educate and for treatment centres. What we currently have isn’t working and the it’s like the definition of insanity so something needs to change

@SteveWhistonV7 @silverrich39 @SteveWhistonV7 2/3The OCGs would collapse. Current addicts could walk into treatment centres and get the help and support they need without the fear of being criminalised or having scum dealers on their back selling drugs for them. Society benefits massively.
