Through this event, we accomplished two of our key goals at The Collective Makers: creating spaces for underrepresented artists and initiating difficult but necessary conversations within the industry. Follow us to keep up with future opportunities and collaborations 💫

Last Friday we hosted our event Resilience at the Queen's House, in collaboration with @RMGreenwich . It was a fantastic evening with a thought-provoking panel talk between the two artists, Danielle Royer and Canaan J Brown, and Adoudu, the amazing host for the conversation.

His work, influenced by fiction as a tool for reframing cultural narratives, has been featured on platforms like BBC and ITV News and shown at Tate Modern and Southbank Centre. Brown completed an MA in Contemporary Art Practice @RCA supported by the Sir Frank Bowling Scholarship

Here is a short trailer of Canaan J. Brown's films that you'll be able to see at our event on October 18th at the Queen's House. Canaan is a London-based artist, designer, and writer whose interdisciplinary practice explores themes of displacement, mythology, and Black culture.

She has exhibited at Millbank Tower and works with institutions such as Tate and University of the Arts London. Royer's artistic philosophy, rooted in childhood exploration and cutting-edge technology, drives her to push boundaries in digital art while making workshops for others

Introducing Danielle Royer: one of the artists you'll be able to see at our next event on October 18 at the Queen's House. Danielle is a London-based multidisciplinary artist blending illustration, animation, 3D modelling, and sculpture with emerging technologies.
