Happy to share some incredible news- I received the Ruth L. Kirschstein Individual Predoctoral Fellowship (F31) Award through @NIH_NIAMS for my study titled “Social Health Factors Associated with the Transition from Acute to Chronic Low Back Pain.”

I am beyond thankful for my mentors and colleagues who provided feedback during the preparation of this grant- @AdamGoode58, @HaydenBosworth, @alanbrookh, @KaposFP, and many others. I am also grateful for @duke_pophealth, @DukeMSK, & @Duke_DPT. Looking forward to this next step!

This grant will support my dissertation research using real world data and causal inference to examine the social and biological mechanisms involved in the transition from acute to chronic low back pain and to improve health outcomes for those at risk of developing chronic pain.
