Texans should demand an ongoing, comprehensive, INDEPENDENT audit of taxpayer dollars used for vouchers. By independent, I mean NOT under the supervision of the politicians who designed the program.

You say Republicans are pro-business? Their leaders aren’t! Top Republican elected officials have turned radical and their policies actually harm Texas’ economic growth.

Texans are right to demand a thorough audit of the tax dollars being spent on Dan Patrick’s voucher scheme. Texans are also right to demand great public schools, which vouchers do nothing to support.

The GOP’s massive loss in Fort Worth isn’t a wake-up call for voters, Mr. Patrick—it’s a warning to politicians who mistake power for popularity. When voters reject your agenda, you lose. And no amount of influence or money changes that reality.

Across the country, redistricting has become a partisan power grab that weakens democracy and limits voter choice. We can change that by electing more independent leaders.
