I started watching game of thrones for the first time and I have no desire to finished it after season 3 episode 9

I dont understand why people knock the assigned POIs that are forced to fight (F.ex. Elysium and summers). It's just poor map design its not the ships fault. People will still land on Elysium to 3rd party summers and or land on Summers anyways... you can also just not fight?
