@MAWKVLT I think there are some miniscule functions that AI could fill, but the larger the gap that it fills, the more it will transmogrify into generic, template based, easily replicatable 'art.'

Now that every video game studio is just coming out and saying stuff like "Bwuhh huuh? We always used AI! it's normal" it's starting to make sense why everything sound, feels and reads like Marvel Cinematic Universe. They just use it for "ideas" and run with the money.

A rare non-music related post. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know I've been posting health/fitness related updates recently. I'm entering HYROX Anaheim on December 13th, in the Men's Open division, and I'm doing it for charity. What is Hyrox? It's 8 x 1 kilometer runs with a workout station in between each run. It interested me because of the cross-section of fitness elements (running, strength, endurance) it requires. More details in the pics below. My goal is to finish below the average time for all age groups, not just over-40s (I'm 41). This is going to be about 1 hour 25 minutes. As an aside: I wonder if AI will be able to emulate this in a way that is effective for composers. Companies like @ACEStudio_en have implemented this beautifully with choirs. I do wonder when/if AI will be effective in doing this for creating alternative orchestral techniques.

Finding ensemble (and solo) string libraries that can do advanced/contemporary string techniques for every section is one of the biggest struggles I've had for composing in recent years. Anyone have recommendations for options?

@MAWKVLT That game probably had one of the best (if not the best) FPS campaigns I've ever played.

I wanted to play Titanfall 2 but I guess there's a bug with EA Play that just doesn't let me launch it at all so I suppose I'm just not playing a video game I received as a gift. Steam NEEDS to handle this Launcher issue yesterday.

@MAWKVLT I am the arbiter of truth and anyone that disagrees is wrong, a priori.

Nobody is pretending to want to "do dialogue" and "exchange ideas" anymore. Huge thing pre 2020. If you can prove a point you "excert authority." It was a decent substitute for doing anything useful in life and everyone who got on it in time is now either rich or dead.

Preview of a new piece I started for the Art Inspired Music Contest over on Newgrounds. I've been trying to separate the mixing and composition processes altogether, so there is no fx applied to anything in this project outside of some default reverbs on some of the percussion.

@swampfog1 I want to use one as a guitar pick.
