Today I had the honor of visiting the headquarters of @wwp in Jacksonville and meeting with CEO Walt Piatt and members of their leadership team. As a one-legged combat veteran, spending time with the team dedicated to supporting our nation’s wounded veterans is deeply personal. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn more about the incredible programs and initiatives they lead to ensure veterans and their families receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve. Our wounded veterans are willing to lay everything on the line for our country. It is our responsibility to stand with them long after they return home.

I am humbled to have the support of Osceola County Sheriff Christopher Blackmon. I don’t take this endorsement lightly. Florida must continue to be a strong law and order state. Anything less than that is unacceptable. Under my leadership, we’ll continue deporting illegal aliens, fighting against drug trafficking, and we will always back the blue.

On Friday, I joined a welcome home celebration in Pensacola for Hunter Girdner, a true hero who was wounded saving his teammate John Gabrysiak when they came under fire in Operation Epic Fury. Hunter represents the very best of what America has to offer. Not only did he save John’s life as a military contractor, he is also a veteran of the U.S. Army. Thank you, Hunter, for serving our country and getting back into the fight when we needed you most.

Thank you @StasiKamoutsas for ensuring our students have the most up-to-date information. This is incredibly important! I’m incredibly proud that @JayCollinsFL ran this bill. The backstory illustrates the importance of civics and how profound it can be when our citizen legislature listens to constituents, especially our young people. The concern was brought to him by a @FloridaYRs member, @RobotDolphin3. As the bill went through committees, each one heard gut-wrenching testimony from Floridians who survived communism and socialism. Now, post-Maduro, it was an honor to vote to add the fall of Maduro to our curriculum, allowing our students to learn the truth about communism and socialism as the Venezuelan people begin to find freedom. Thrilled and grateful that HB 1279 passed. I’ve been vocal about this troubling pattern for years. We’ve seen county after county use our teachers and students as political pawns. Excited for @RonDeSantis to sign this into law and hold unions accountable.

Having guardians in schools is one of the most effective ways to ensure highly trained personnel are in place to respond to an active assailant. HB 757 extends the guardian program to postsecondary institutions, ensuring students have access to safe and secure learning environments. This week, I was in Southwest Florida to tour LTC Heavy Duty Equipment Rentals and spoke with WINK News. LTC has created jobs across the state and is the largest provider of generator services to Florida’s nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Thank you to the team at LTC for showing me around and providing critical services to our most vulnerable populations when disaster strikes.
