@dineen20dineen My mother sent the Clare Champion to my aunt who lived in Bristol. She also included a letter wrapped in the paper as I think it was cheaper to post the paper than to post the letter.

Did you send the local newspaper to family abroad folded the newspaper tied it with a cord off to the post office. The newspaper wouldn't be delivered until a week later but it was the only way to get the local news

@IrishRail Thanks for your reply but I still don't understand why seats cannot be reserved. We are in our mid to late 60s and will be travelling with suitcases for a flight the next day. We cannot risk being made stand for the journey.

@ColmWard Hi Colm, engineering works are taking place between Cork and Mallow on the 13th June. Seat reservations will not be in operation during these works on Cork route services. The direct services from Limerick will have seat reservations. Apologies for the inconvenience caused. -CL

@IrishRail Trying to book a train from Limerick to Heuston via Limerick Junction on 13 June and am not able to book reserved seating from the Junction to Dublin segment. I tried two different trains but to no avail. Any advice or help?
