@ConorOrr Why not just put "industry shill" in your bio? It's a significant story with wide ranging implications that effects multiple teams and players. You're a reporter. Have some integrity, show some personal courage, and do your job.

It's time to call for a ceasefire on the weirdest NFL story I can remember. Not to save the two parties involved, but to provide relief from the others who didn't ask to be here.
The MMQB@theMMQB

.@ConorOrr understands why the Chargers referenced Mike Vrabel in their schedule video, but he says now is the time for the NFL world to move on from this story si.com/nfl/time-nfl-w…

@PatMcAfeeShow @danorlovsky7 Let's be honest, less than 1/3 of the GMs in the NFL have the job security to walk away from a Tua / Trevor Lawrence. Young QBs with pro bowls and playoff appearances sell tickets and keep you employeed. Rolling the dice on the Sam Darnold's of the world will not become the norm.

"If Nick Bosa didn't get held, the 49ers would have won the Super Bowl." "If Jaquiski Tartt didn't drop that interception, the 49ers would have won the Super Bowl." "If Dre Greenlaw didn't tear his Achilles, the 49ers would have won the Super Bowl." "If the 49ers were healthy, they would have beaten the Seahawks in the playoffs last year and won the Super Bowl." The 49ers are four-time hypothetical Super Bowl champions under Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch.

@Giants The goal of talent acquisition is to ACQUIRE talent over multiple years, not let all your good players go every 2 or 3 years and bring in new ones. That's why you can't get passed 7-10 or 9-8.

Kathleen Kennedy, in her Deadline exit interview after stepping down as Lucasfilm president, on what she considered the lows of her tenure: "The lows are that you've got a very, very small percentage of the fan base that has enormous expectations and basically they want to continue to see pretty much the same thing. And if you're not going to do that, then you know going in that you're going to disappoint them. I'm not sure there's anything you can do about that, because you can't please everybody." Is the person who ran Star Wars into the ground blaming the fans on her way out?

Mike Vrabel did a Q+A with Patriot season ticket holders last night. Word on the street is he got a standing ovation when he arrived. Patriots fans aren’t into gossip and tabloid fodder. We are into winning super bowls and forgiveness. Model franchise.

🚨 JUST NOW: Fed Chair nominee Kevin Warsh INFURIATES Sen. Elizabeth Warren after she asks who won the 2020 election 🤣 WARREN: Did Trump lose the 2020 election? WARSH: We try to keep politics out of the Fed...this body certified that election years ago. WARREN: That's NOT the question I'm asking! I'm asking did Donald Trump LOSE in 2020! WARSH: You certified the election. Let's keep politics out of monetary policy. She's losing it 😂

THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN A HISTORIC DISASTER… The Chicago #Bears made an historic trade offer of three first-round picks and multiple players for #Seahawks QB Russell Wilson in 2021, and Seattle DECLINED the offer. Starting in 2021, Wilson had severely declining numbers and has not thrown for over 4,000 yards in a season since 2020. The first three-round picks Chicago was offering turned into: 2021: #20 overall 2022: #7 overall 2023: #10 overall In both 22’ and 23’, Seattle would have then had multiple top-10 picks in the draft. This would have been one of the worst trades of all time by Chicago, and Seattle would have walked away with a historically great haul. 😱😱😱

BREAKING: CA Democrats just voted down my motion to stop AB 2624 — the “Stop Nick Shirley Act.” This insane bill would make it a crime for citizen journalists to post videos of left-wing groups engaging in fraud. An unconstitutional law to hide fraud from taxpayers! WATCH:

@jasonrantz That is 1 employee hired for every 100 housholds. If they spend 20% of their "budget" (557M) to pay their employees, that is an average salary of $371k per new state employee... #fraud

George R.R. Martin explains how his Game of Thrones characters wielding power badly is his answer to Tolkien: "Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Tolkien, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Lord of the Rings had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Tolkien can say that Aragorn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Tolkien doesn’t ask the question: What was Aragorn’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these orcs? By the end of the war, Sauron is gone but all of the orcs aren’t gone – they’re in the mountains. Did Aragorn pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby orcs, in their little orc cradles? Real-life kings had real-life problems to deal with. Just being a good guy was not the answer. You had to make hard, hard decisions. Sometimes what seemed to be a good decision turned around and bit you in the ass; it was the law of unintended consequences. I’ve tried to get at some of these in my books. My people who are trying to rule don’t have an easy time of it. Just having good intentions doesn’t make you a wise king." What do you think Tolkien would have thought about such comments?
