BREAKING - "Huge crash" near the Lower Royal George Inn, Outlane. Emergency services with five ambulances are at the scene attending to a road traffic accident. Please drive with extreme caution and avoid the area. Updates to follow.

Nice to see locals in Linthwaite affected by the horrific murder this week discussing getting hot drinks & snacks to Officers on the scene & showing they care about us on Social Media this morning. Top job by Jordan as well, as reported by @ColneValleyNews ❤️

Sadly, one of the victims has not survived the attack in Linthwaite from this morning. The police have opened a murder investigation. Others have been injured in the incident & have been taken to hospital. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and friends.

A murder investigation is currently underway in #Linthwaite. After midnight police and paramedics attended Manchester Road following stabbing reports. A helicopter was heard circling above. Reports suggest one victim has sadly not survived this brutal attack.

This morning we scaled the clock tower of St James, currently undergoing repairs, with Church warden Barbara Swift. Some 18th Century stone steps, dusty wooden stairs, and four flights later, we reach the top. Read more in our upcoming first edition! colnevalleynews.com/shop
