The Pope is not a monarch; he’s not a politician either. His opinions on greenhouse gases and whether it is “Christian” to allow the US to be invaded by illegal aliens are irrelevant. Really, go to confession and ask. I would have left the Catholic Church long ago if this was required. It’s not a “new” question.

Trump threatened the Vatican with military force. I've said that out loud to myself five or six times now, and I still can't quite process it.
