les VRAIS fan d’ocarina of time ont adoré Breath of the wild, c’est limite la version rêvé qu’on voulait pour un Zelda 3D a l’époque

@Pirat_Nation Perhaps if end of life was actually planned for from the beginning this wouldn't be a problem.

Japanese devs explain why adding offline support to live-service games after shutdown is harder than most gamers think.
The discussion started again due to a fan-made offline version of Square Enix’s NieR Re[in]carnation.
Programmer Itchie said: “Making it technically work and making it actually enjoyable as a game are different things.”
He added: “There is a strong risk that the game will end up playable but not entertaining, or that it will simply fall apart as a game.”

@Coloured_Cyan @DAKKADAKKA1 Forcing stumbling upon progress, no matter how “fun” to the user, is not good game design
English

@compositehead @DAKKADAKKA1 Because the slide is fun and a child will replay the level with no reward because it was fun. On screen timer is a bit of a give away too. 21 seconds is not even a particularly fast time.
English

@DAKKADAKKA1 Ok this first one’s probably satire because even kid me could make my way to Bob-Omb Battlefield. The second one? Honestly yeah how are you supposed to know that you can retry it for another star. It doesn’t have to say “finish under 21 for a star”, but that THERE IS a second one
English

@Kafonn_ This is literally the 2nd star you could earn out of 120, of course you can walk to it.

@bestofstarwar Judging a 136 minute film by its best 3 minutes is a pretty dumb take. I was 7 when this was in cinemas and so I have the most rose tinted glasses opinion of this and even I don't think good movie.
If we're talking compared to the sequels though, its gold.

@holek_ @Yutaisposting thanks brother, since Mysterious Disappearances we haven't been eating to good.

"fate/stay night wasn't available outside japan for 20 years, were we just supposed to not play it? LOL"
well... yes. you should never pirate anime, emulate games, or anything like that...
who was right? adachi or kokichi?

Seeing a lot on about Japanese and Western fans/otaku arguing about piracy and the availability of work overseas. I don’t think the two sides can be reconciled. It’s a big cultural difference. Anyone who’s tried to talk to Japanese people about copyright before this will know.
