First off, I’m not here to start a fight. One of the greatest things about living in America is that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I truly respect that. That said, I’m a big believer and dreamer when it comes to the possibility of bringing a sports complex to Elwood. I’ve been in this industry a long time, and I’ve seen firsthand what something like this can do for a community when it’s done the right way. It can be a real blessing for taxpayers, local businesses, and especially for our kids creating opportunities that can benefit generations to come. I know there are people who may be against the idea, and I genuinely value your perspective. I’d love the chance to sit down over coffee or breakfast and have a conversation about it. Why can’t something like this thrive here? We have amazing people, great local businesses, beautiful parks, and a wonderful city. We’re also in a great location that’s easily accessible to surrounding communities. Just this coming December, we’re expecting 78 varsity basketball teams to come into our area. When I see things we can do as the athletic department, I see opportunity and potential for Elwood. Like I said, it has to be done right. But I truly believe there’s something special that could happen here. If you’re against the idea of a sports complex coming to Elwood, I invite you to sit down and talk with me.
