when you realize you just became an Olympic gold medalist

The women’s curling medals have been awarded. And it’s a stacked podium. Massive congratulations to Sweden’s Team Hasselborg for winning gold (again), Switzerland’s Team Tirinzoni for winning silver and Canada’s Team Homan for winning bronze.

The shame is, Jacobs and the fellas had a great week and are deserving winners. I think most curling fans can see that. However, anyone who tunes in to curling just every four years will only ever remember this as the Olympics where Canada cheated, lied about it, and won.
