Members that responded to a house fire were recognized today for saving the life of a victim stranded inside. Good job to all that contributed to the rescue!

The Columbus Department of Fire and EMS promoted 32 firefighters to the ranks of sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and battalion chief. Congratulations!

Trench rescue involves shoring up the sides of a trench, and digging a potential trapped worker out of a collapsed ditch. Our rescue teams practiced these essential skills for 5 days.

With summer around the corner we want to remind everyone to exercise caution in and around water. Have fun but be safe!

Academy Sports + Outdoor donated 500 life vets. This Saturday, Safe Kids, Columbus Fire and EMS, and others will be participating in the annual River Savvy Kids event at the 14th St Bridge. Event starts at 10Am and Fire Station 1 will be present to offer water safety lessons.
