As they aren't flying, access is much less restricted compared to an air show, and visits on-board (for £1 or £2 to help with maintenance) are encouraged. Here's XS235, @CometCanopus, the last Comet to fly and the only one still operational.

Bruntingthorpe airfield on Sunday saw the 2nd of this year's Cold War Jets Fast Taxi days, organised by @BritishJets. A unique place to get up close to many iconic aircraft before, during & after taxi runs. Well worth a visit thanks to friendly support teams & some serious noise!

@CometCanopus @BritishJets @BruntyCWJ You do have an issue in that the May Open Day ALWAYS seems to clash with Duxford's Airshow, don't know why this is the case but it's sure to have an affect!!

We are hoping twitter will assist in that aswell as the air show forum any other ways we can spread the word better?
