I’ve reached the point where I’m manifesting more of 2019 like scenario where Antonio Williams takes over in camp like rookie McLaurin did as a 3rd round prodigy . Rather than holding out hope for a veteran on a one year flyer to come save the day.

Amik Robertson, Ahkello Witherspoon, and now Rasul Douglas. Good veteran and interchangeable depth behind Mikey and Amos. No need to overspend on a big name CB as they have many times in the past.

They signed Von Miller last year on July 16th, just days before camp started, while we sat around all spring wondering when they’ll add some juice at edge. Similar deal this year at WR. I’d pinpoint that timeframe for when they go and get a Diggs or someone of that nature.

Two things from last year that I won’t forget:
#1. How old and slow the defense was.
#2. How horrible the WR room was when McLaurin went down.
They addressed #1.
But #2 is still a glaring issue, and I won’t let summer highlights of cool catches make me forget it. They HAVE to add more to the WR room.

My thoughts on the ‘26 schedule (was out of town last week).
Pros:
•Week 7 BYE.
• 2 home games coming out of the BYE.
•Not backloaded with division games.
• Positive net rest advantage, unlike previous years.
Cons:
• Two straight road Div games to start.
• lopsided distribution of road games to start the season.

I’m not surprised that Washington hasn’t re-signed him, but I am surprised that no other team has shown serious interest. Was fairly productive last year given the QB situation. I’d take him back in a heartbeat.
