Sony reported a 120.1 billion yen ($765 million) impairment loss on assets related to its 2022 acquisition of Bungie for FY2025. Of that amount, 88.6 billion yen ($565 million) was recorded in the fourth quarter. The write-down reflects lower-than-expected performance from Destiny 2 in sales and player engagement. Sony noted that it does not expect similar impairment losses in FY2026, which should positively contribute to growth in its Game & Network Services operating income.
