Attended an interesting session as a speaker on the topic, " Sports Development in Educational Institutions" at the "Pointers Business Foram Conclave & Expo' 2025" held on 9th March,2025 at the Rotary Sadan, Kolkata along with Olympian Joydeep Karmakar, Adhiraj Dutta etc.

We - three at the marriage ceremony of Subrata Dutta's daughter at Nicco Park. During my 50 years of un-interrupted sports commentary, I had spent the first half (1975-2000) sharing microphone with Nilimesh Roychowdhury & Jayanta Chakraborty in several memorable sports events

Received the " Bengal Excellency Award" in a glittering evening yesterday at the Science City Auditorium, Kolkata along with some eminent personalities like Rituparna Sengupta, Imon Chakroborty, Gautam Ghosh, Gautam Bhattacharya,Sanjay Sen, Biswajit Bhattacharya,Kunal Ghosh etc.

This year's "Bengal Excellency Award" will be presented to me on 22nd February,2025 at the Science City Auditorium, Kolkata along with several other eminent personalities from different disciplines by Joy Bangla Sambad, Kolkata. Here is an interview taken prior to this event.

Recently , I was by the Indian Statistical Institute, an "Institute of National Importance " under the aegis of Govt of India for completing 50 years of un-interrupted Sports Commentary in 25 disciplines on All India Radio and various national television channels.

Anchored the AGM of illustrious "Veterans Sports Club" a couple of days back in the presence of Olympian, Soma Biswas and other former International footballers like Kuntala Ghosh dastidar,Bhaskar Ganguly, Mihir Bose, Kartick Sett,Aloke Mukherjee, Sumit Mukherjee, Jamshed etc

Today, All India Radio had arranged an interview based recording to celebrate 50 years of un-interrupted Sports Commentary of my career in English which will be broadcast soon under the programme, "Horizon". Dr. Sharmistha Raha , the seasoned presenter, took the interview.

It was an immense pleasure to receive "Vivekananda Award" from the Chairman, Swami Vivekananda Vidyamandir on the occasion of 163rd Birthday celebration of Swami Vivekananda in the presence of Md.Azruddin, Barreto, Alvito D'cunha, Sambaran Banerjee etc on 12th January,2025.

Received the " Life Time Achievement Award" for significant contribution to the Bengali Sports Commentary from Konnagar Municipality at the "Konnagar Book Fair" held on 3rd January, 2025

Moderating a talk show, "Peler Sathe Khela" along with former International footballers, Gautam Sarkar and Pradip Chowdhury during the first ever "Bengal Global Connect Meet' 2024" at the Calcutta Rowing Club on 22nd December, 2024 in the presence of NRIs from 18 countries.

"Khelar Barta", a fortnightly Online Sports Magazine recently felicitated me for my contribution to Bengali Sports Commentary over 5 decades in the presence of former International footballers, Shanti Mallick, Mihir Bose and Rahim Nabi at "Rabindra- Okakura Bhavan", Salt Lake.

Today, Me and my son,Dr. Souvik Roy did live commentary of @ShrachiSports CFL(2024) match between United Sports Club and Md. Sporting in Bengali (on @24ghantanews Channel) & English (on @ZEE5India app) respectively. Soumitra Chakraborty was my partner while Alvito was Souvik's.

I have done live commentary of 90+ Derby matches over the last 50 years but before the recent @ShrachiSports CFL (2024) Derby,I never had 3 Experts during live commentary. This time, I had Subrata Bhattacharya, Monoranjan Bhattacharya & Soumitra Chakraborty on @Zee24Ghanta
