⏰ Hey Swatch, time’s up! 🇨🇭 Swatch: your workers in Turkey are speaking loud and clear! 👊 This week, the UNI World Executive Board unanimously backed the 170 Koop-İş members now on strike at all 16 all Swatch Group stores and head office across Türkiye after the company refused to agree to a fair first collective agreement. 🗣️Osman Aksoy, General Financial Secretary of Koop-İş said workers are overwhelmingly behind the strike and called on Swatch to get back to the bargaining table.

⌚✊ Solidarity with Swatch and Omega workers at 16 stores in Türkiye today as they strike for a new collective agreement and a wage they can live off. Participation is high at nearly 90 per cent, said their union Koop-Is @KOOPISSENDIKASI. Sister Swiss union @unia also sent their support to their Turkish colleagues: In a show of international solidarity, the Swiss trade union and UNI Global Union affiliate, UNIA, which represents workers in the watch industry in Switzerland, sent a message of support to their Turkish colleagues. “We were very disappointed to learn that the negotiations have so far ended in failure. We regret the attitude of the Swatch Group, which is one of the main signatories of the collective labour agreement in the Swiss watchmaking industry. We will not fail to remind them that their social responsibility also entails fair and dignified treatment of workers at all their sites,” said Raphaël Thiémard of UNIA. “We once again express the support of the UNIA for your struggle. You deserve, without further delay, a collective labour agreement that meets your needs. We are strong together.”
