FWCC has commenced a five‑day training on Gender, Violence Against Women, Human Rights and Counselling Ethics for 35 RFMF officers, officially opened by Col. Silipa Vananalagi and FWCC Coordinator Shamima Ali. Sessions are facilitated by Ms Ali and Miliana with support from DFAT.

FWCC Coordinator Shamima Ali joined the Vanuatu Women’s Centre to launch the 2024 National Survey on Women’s Lives and Family Relationships. FWCC and VWC share over 30 years of partnership through the Pacific Women’s Network Against Violence Against Women.

BWCC held a Reclaim the Night march in Ba on Friday 6 March, with 280+ people calling to Stop Rape, promote equality & end gender‑based violence. Women’s and youth groups, leaders, & frontline workers joined the march, with strong chants & messages demanding safety & justice.

As part of IWD 2026, Nadi Women’s Crisis Centre visited Sabeto College on Friday to engage with 50 participants, including female teachers & senior prefects. Senior Counsellor Advocate Ili Maria led the session, focusing on GBV, gender equality, and equal opportunities for girls.

Labasa Women’s Crisis Centre marked International Women’s Day on Friday with its first Open Forum with other stakeholders. The discussion focused on strengthening collaboration in the fight to eliminate violence against women & girls. #IWD2026 #EndVAWG #Labasa

For #IWD2026, the Nadi Women’s Crisis Centre held a vigil under the theme “Stop Rape.” About 30 people attended, including children, with participants from DIVA, Fiji Police & community members. Together we called for an end to rape & all forms of violence. #StopRape #EndViolence
