Kay and Dominic were led by the Solicitor General for Scotland, Ruth Charteris KC; and in-line with the UKSC’s recent practice note, the oral argument was split between senior and junior counsel, with Dominic presenting a chapter of the submissions on behalf of the Lord Advocate.
