Introducing the Goalscoring reliability.
One of the criteria’s for Goalscoring and Goalscoring consistency.
We’ll refer to it as GSR.
On my last post I kind of spoiled it.

-Formula-
GSR = GPM : SR of GPM x (1 - GPM : M)
SE = SR of GPM x (1 - GPM : M)
-Clarification-
GSR - Goalscoring Reliability
GPM - Goals Per Match
SR - Square Root
M - Matches
SE - Standard Error
-Elaboration-
Each match is a goal or no goal, this is a binary event. If we divide it by matches we’ll reduce randomness with larger samples.
SE = Expected fluctuation of the scoring rate due to a sample size.
GSR = GPM : SE
-Versatility-
•Very versatile.
•Can be used on all statistics such as assists.
-ASR Formula-
ASR = APM : SR of APM x (1 - APM : M)
(Replace G in the previous formula with A - Assists).
-Another consistency criteria-
GSM = Goalscoring Matches.
Amount of matches scored in. Ignores the amount which is crucial for basic consistency however getting this requires deep dives. Goalscoring is just an example. It’s called “X Reliability” X representing a stat and Reliability being itself.
-Example-
Cristiano Ronaldo has 60.2 GSR.
Cristiano Ronaldo has 24.4 UCL GSR.
Cristiano Ronaldo has 19.7 INT. GSR.
Cristiano Ronaldo has 5.1 Euros GSR.
Cristiano Ronaldo has 17.9 CL KO GSR.
I haven’t seen anyone post about GSR idea before. I did some research and couldn’t find one.
