It's strange to think that four years have passed since Mariupol and everything that happened there. For me, it has become a painful memory, something I carry with me while trying to continue with life. But it is important to remember that not everyone came home. Some were killed during the battle for the city. Others died in captivity. And even now, there are still many of our guys who remain prisoners. In darker moments, I sometimes find myself thinking that it might have been easier to have fallen there than to carry on as though life is normal, while knowing that the friends and men you stood beside are still enduring the cruel and twisted reality of Russian captivity.
