@Itmechr3 The most surprising thing is COD actually cracked the code on this with the Gunfight mode, where pubstomping is boring but high level, close matches are amazing to watch. Yet they don’t seem to have any interest in iterating on it.

@jpofferz_ttv The other key part of this cycle is that you always have a new generation who has nostalgia for the games that were current when they were 12. So they keep moving the date when “something changed” up to help keep their target audience from putting any actual thought into it.

worth reminding you all, gamers DID have a temper tantrum about the lgbtq stuff in Inquisition and Mass Effect 3. They just like to pretend they didn’t in order to grift about the current culture war now, and attempt to put on the facade of not just being at their core, bigots

There's seemingly a lot of anger or ridicule about some LGBTQ dialogue in Dragon Age The Veilguard. As a reminder, scenes like this were in the now decade old Dragon Age Inquisition, the game some implied was DA when not "woke". Ask yourselves why you weren't as mad then.

@IgneousSigil There’s also some spots for things like That Time I Reincarnated as a Slime where the main character is championed as the strongest across all fiction even though power scaling isn’t really a thing inside the work itself.

@IgneousSigil Fundamentally unserious claim. Pittsburgh and Philly fans are natural enemies and claiming to like both is either base pandering or clear demonstration the speaker doesn't actually know anything about football. Like claiming to be a fan of both the Mets and Yankees.
