BREAKING: The National Governors Association (NGA) has canceled its annual White House meeting after President Trump only invited Republican governors to the gathering.
“Because NGA’s mission is to represent all 55 governors, the Association is no longer serving as the facilitator for that event, and it is no longer included in our official program,” Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt (R) wrote in a letter announcing plans to forgo the meeting, according to The Associated Press.

You gain nothing by shaming people who admit they were wrong in 2024 and are now speaking out. The only way out of this mess is to bring people back to common sense and reality. We need more who are willing to say they were wrong—and we have to make it easier for them to do that, because a lot of Americans are angry and deeply uncomfortable with where things are headed.

I would offer that Alex Pretti putting his body—with his hands up—between a woman and the BP agent who had just violently shoved her into the snow, offer stark competing visions of manhood. Pretti, a nurse caring for veterans, who took a face full of pepper spray to shield that woman, is a much better masculine ideal that the masked coward shoving the woman and executing a man on his knees. MAGA may venerate the latter, but most people in a healthy society want the former.
