Hausa and Fulani got a Brahui-Baloch relationship in that the cultures have merged two languages from completely different language families

@ConalJarvis @hemuphobia @revhowardarson I don’t think we have more than Hurrian, but more than Urartian certainly. Hurrian grammar is fairly well understood (or so is my impression; I could be totally off).

@ConalJarvis @hemuphobia @revhowardarson Definitely not an Elamite expert me, I just studied the language a bit. :) But, yeah, McAlpin’s Elamo-Dravidian (not his more recent Zagrosian work) is plausible, but highly doubtful. There is no doubting Brahui being Dravidian. It’s somewhat divergent, but the correspondences >

@hemuphobia @revhowardarson Non-expert weighing in (@avzaagzonunaada is the resident expert), but Elamite is decently attested IIRC: some royal inscriptions, peace treaties, and Achaemenid administrative texts.
