Juries are randomly selected members of the public. Men and women from all walks of life and all political backgrounds. Only a moron of irredeemable proportions would even think of suggesting that a jury verdict represents some deep state “two-tier justice”.

My fiancée has just been through this. Even though her ex was violent and abusive, he was treated like the victim at family court, even praised by the judge several times, whilst she was treated like a bad person for trying to get protection for her and her daughter.

It's just mad, isn't it? These people voted for everything they're disowning, campaigned on precisely the policies they're reversing & created most of the problems they're promising to fix. *For twelve years*.

Just so we're clear: Sunak, Javid and all the other Tory MPs abandoning Boris Johnson aren't acting from "principle" or "honour". They've known what he's like from the beginning. They're abandoning him because they now think his leadership threatens their interests. That's it.
