I am extremely proud to lead the fight to stop ICE from raiding our state databases. Leadership in 2026 means working with partners inside govt to pass meaningful policy AND ALSO working with partners in our community to build power and take on big fights. #AbolishICE

@SholdonDaniels A regressive tax and universal benefits addresses this. Give everyone access to a shelter and a basic level of food along with a 100% tax rate up to whatever income it requires. No income caps, people will naturally exit the minimal living standards their taxes cover.

We do need a better way of transitioning people off of welfare once they start to come up in life. The way it’s set up now, if you’re busting your butt, but you need help, you won’t get it. But if you’re doing nothing, you get all the help and resources forever. This needs to change.

I remember a while back I said that if you make over $200k a a year and still mow your own lawn, you're doing it wrong. Now that the average quote I'm getting for my lawn is $400 a month, I think I'm changing my mind on that statement. What are folks running for lawnmowing equipment on a 1 acre mow these days?

@GovofCO Why isn't the government exclusively focused on people who can afford to live here, and already do so. All I see from you is ideas on how we can get new people to cram into our cities.

In Colorado we are focused on creating more housing Coloradans can afford, where we want to live. The new Hattie McDaniel apartments are a great example of our work to energize our urban core, and celebrate the history of the Five Points neighborhood in Denver. These homes will provide new residents and families housing options in this iconic, historic and charming community.

Wealth inequality in the US has never been wider: The real wealth of the top 0.001% of US households has grown +3,500% since 1976. At the same time, inflation-adjusted wealth of the top 0.01% and 0.1% has surged +2,200% and +1,200%, respectively. By comparison, the average household has seen just a +200% increase. As a result, there are now ~430,000 households worth $30 million or more, with ~74,000 worth over $100 million. Meanwhile, ~72% of wealth for the top 0.1% is concentrated in corporate equities, mutual funds, and private businesses. To put this into perspective, the bottom 50% of US households had more debt than assets for nearly 2 decades, with their average wealth turning positive after the 2020 pandemic, following stimulus checks and growing home values. Asset owners are the only winners.

@DennisB15745 @WSJ Only if you ignore 30-40 years of self serving government and corporate policies that ignored the costs to future generations. I'll grant you that plenty of boomers were also harmed by the corporate stuff.

@ThomasSowell I don't understand. Is it like a credit card, where the minimum payment isn't enough to reduce your debt, but just enough to keep you out of default while money is tight? It seems that your debt is reduced by whatever you pay above that, on your own schedule.

Considering the amount of women I know who’ve gone through divorces and come out the other end, I feel 100% affirmed in my choice to not marry. Not-all-women, of course, but most are happier post-divorce and were unhappy-to-miserable in their marriages. I do understand the purpose of marriage—for the kids—but in general it doesn’t seem to make women happy so much as unhappy, stressed, and often kind of traumatized… I realize this is a gauche thing to say, considering the heterodox pro-marriage wave, but I think it’s generally true… Marriage just isn’t often an enjoyable or beneficial arrangement for many women…

Been working remote for the last few years and now have to go into the office 9-5 Monday through Friday. The commute is 1.5 hours each way with traffic and tolls. Ugh. Feels like a prison sentence. Loved working from home, my productivity was through the roof and my sales performance was great. Also got in about 10-15k steps a day on my walking treadmill which won’t happen with this new set up. So I guess it’s time I start looking for a new job… Anyone know of any openings for a remote sales role, please hit me up!

Ooooh do I have a story. When I was working in Amsterdam a bit over a decade ago, we had an internal email chain going around. Colleagues (all white) were looking for a house cleaner. Everyone chimed in to brag about theirs. One had a Guatemalan, another a Peruvian, and another a Cuban. All working below the legal minimum wage. All my colleagues were liberals and I -- the so-called fascist -- was the only one cleaning the house myself because it felt wrong for me to even consider exploiting an immigrant...

Sneak peek 👀 at @Rivian’s new R2. We are proud that Coloradans have a variety of options for going electric - a fun, quiet, clean way to get around while cutting pollution. This addition is great news for Colorado families looking to save on gas and go electric.
