@MaceAhWindu this whole episode is peak Vader. as soon as Ezra and Kanan arrive back on Lothal they can sense the darkness and misery of Anakin's presence in the Force FROM ORBIT.

How the fuck do you make something this hard, man. Every time I watch it I get chills. It is genuinely one of the best moments in the entire franchise.

@haterhunter450 As I said, it doesn't matter whether or not it's true. These are the headlines people see. But also - I believe Rogue Squadron and Rian Johnson's trilogy were also "on the back-burner". They're cancelled, Disney just don't want to say that.

Disney get made fun of a lot for fumbling the sequel trilogy, but whether or not you believe that's the case, I think how they fumbled the success of The Mandalorian is infinitely worse ngl

Finished S2 in my Mando rewatch. “The Marshall” is still such a perfect episode, and the only episode of the series directed by Favreau. Really gives you an idea of what to expect from his directing in the movie.

@sw_holocron no because over-saturation is a big deal especially when it comes to a character as cool as Vader. we already have 6 movies and 1 million books and comics about him to enjoy so as a big Vader fanboy, personally speaking im all good

Instead, twoboots threatens to do it, and threatens again, and then Lawson shuts him down, and then he does it anyway, just offscreen, making the shutting down kinda redundant and inconsequential anyway. It's just boring writing imo.

I found it interesting that Lawson, as a man of the law (lol) is forced to consider turning to the Empire as the only major line of escalation. It would have been a major moment of internal conflict if the casualties in ep4 finally convinced him to take that last resort.

So far, Maul: Shadow Lord mostly seems like a vehicle for cool fights and aura moments. Story-wise, I don't feel there's much that is grabbing me. Maul recruiting a susceptible Jedi apprentice is a great idea, but we already saw it in Rebels, and it was better there.
