@ConiShadow @TomodachiPlaza @trafficlunr it’s not a fork, they deleted their original post announcing this vibecoded version of the site with the same name originally and then backstepped and renamed it to “Tomodachi Plaza” after backlash but still launched it impersonating TomodachiShare.

Important: We genuinely regret having to address this publicly, but at this point we feel it is necessary to speak clearly and honestly. The developer of tomodachishare (@trafficlunr ) along with parts of that community, has repeatedly engaged in behavior that we consider toxic and unacceptable. Our original plan was to create an app version of TomodachiShare with additional features. This decision was made without first contacting the main developer of the website. That was a mistake on our part, and we have openly acknowledged this several times. Shortly after, the developer publicly accused us of stealing their project. In response, we voluntarily changed the name of our app, stopped using any open source code from TomodachiShare, and removed all Mii designs. We were not obligated to take these steps, but we did so out of respect and because we were asked to. Despite this, we have been facing ongoing harassment for several days now. This includes direct harassment from the developer as well as members of their community. There have also been public discussions in their Discord where people speak negatively about us and encourage others to target our project. In addition, some members of the TomodachiShare community have recently started spamming our newly released app with spam content and advertisements for their own platform, which is disappointing and negatively impacts the user experience for everyone. Until recently, we were strong supporters of TomodachiShare, and some of our creators even made social media content promoting their service. However, due to the current situation, we no longer wish to have any association with this project. We kindly ask that you leave us and our community alone. If you do not like our app, please simply do not use it. We also ask that you stop claiming that both platforms look the same. Our app already offers more features, and we have deliberately ensured that the design and overall experience clearly differ from TomodachiShare. Thank you very much for reading! 💛
