Tom Rosenthal from #FridayNightDinner and #Plebs Had a really fun chat, told him about the squirrel incident in my local Indian a few years back and how everyone in the restaurant chorused "lovely bit of squirrel" after it made its escape. Great guy.

@cherryoak I only bought my ticket on Thursday evening for going yesterday, too. So it was relatively safe to assume they were turning up.

@ConinaUK 3 out of 5 is a good ratio to go and spend money. Yes like all things at first its good and tailored but then soon someone sees they can make a huge profit that becomes the aim and goal. Yes main stream also mean more cancellations, upset people when they cant come.

Is it weird that I think the thing I'm most proud of today isn't that I went out, or that I went to comic con completely by myself, it's that I managed to put my vambraces on without assistance 😆

@ThronesUpdates I use "winter is coming" on an annual basis. Changing it to "summer is coming" this time of year. Also " my sweet summer child"

@cherryoak There's so many events now, too. Almost every weekend. I kinda miss the days before they started attracting more main stream and were run by fans for fans rather than big money making machines. There were 3 guests out of the 5 they had that I wanted to meet so it was worthwhile.

@ConinaUK Yes new money making scheme unlocked for them. It should be included in the entry fee. As now even when you buy entry you dont fully know what you're able to access. They will end up pricing themselves out as fans just wont go. Was there many people you wanted to see at your one?

@cherryoak Did your nieces still have fun or was it a bit disappointing for them with the guest cancellation? Too many events are starting to charge for the panels now when they always used to be included in the entry ticket. I wasn't at Portsmouth for much over 3hrs but it's a small one.

@cherryoak It was good. Although I missed the panel I would have liked to do as they hadn't advertised it happening, so I only found out when it was too late. But I met the guests I wanted and had fun. And the sun even came out! Which as a lot of it is outside was a definite bonus.

Met E.T. today. As you do. A kind fellow con- goer offered to take a picture for me. Maybe one day I'll feel less awkward posing for a photo. Maybe. 🤣
