We typically define the spatial specificity of TMS in terms of the electric field. However, the non-linear response behavior of neurons affects the spatial resolution of TMS, which hence depends also on the stimulation intensity. ijbem.org/volume23/numbe…

We made a two-coil TMS transducer that allows manipulating the pulse orientation accurately without manual coil movement. We also created a logistic model describing the dependency of the motor response amplitude on the stimulus orientation and intensity. doi.org/10.1016/j.brs.…
