Full moon today. Full moons are a good time to honor our loved ones who have passed.

@ConnectionsHope The hospice where my wife spent her last days offered counselling and then a walking group. This group became my tribe. 2 1/2 yrs later we still meet and walk weekly as well as lunches somtimes. Usually 4-10 pple. This lifeline has become my tribe.

When I was newly bereaved I was shocked at how others avoided the topic. All I wanted to do was talk about my late husband but most avoided like the plague. Once I met another griever I immediately found my tribe. #MondayMotivation

@Savannahtony I’m so sorry that happened to you but sadly I’m not surprised. When I returned to work after my husband died I was a ghost. People would turn around and walk the other way when I walked by.

@ConnectionsHope I was 15 when my dad died. I had a week off of school. When I returned it was like I was diseased. Kids avoided me…teachers ignored what happened to me….counselors are a joke…. I get it!

Sundays were always a day my late husband and I spent together, no matter what. Since widowed I’ve had to rebuild and find new ways to spend weekends with keeping some cherished traditions alive. #SundayMotivation

I’ve found that if I sit quietly and think of specific memories of my loved ones who have passed it feels like I’m back in those moments. It’s a clear energy shift. Give it a try and see if it works for you. #FlashbackFriday

The best advice I was given when I was newly widowed was to just be gentle with myself. I share this simple truth as often as possible.

Happy Father’s Day! I will honor my father and late husband today. Both were wonderful fathers and very much alike!

Sometimes it’s best to open the window and let your worries blow away. This helped me when I was in the throes of grief.

Grief may always be with us just like our love for them never fades but I’ve found that over time, the harshness lessens. #Sundaymorning

If you could one day back with a loved one who has passed what would that day look like?

I’ve found that over time grief changes and the happy memories stay while the bad ones fade.

When I moved across the country I wasn’t sure how that would be leaving the home where my late husband & I shared a life. So, I packed up my memories and took them with me. #mondaythoghts
