What occurred outside 26 Federal Plaza this morning was deeply disturbing. I’m relieved no one was seriously injured and that a suspect is in custody. My team is in touch with the NYPD and we will support the federal investigation. Our administration will continue to ensure that every New Yorker is safe in their city — and hold accountable any who threaten that.

Sorry, there's just no "there," there: 1) Attorney Bradley Edwards (who'd represented 70 of Epstein's victims at that point) wrote in his book, "None of the people I interviewed who had met Trump through Epstein ever claimed that Trump had engaged in any improper sexual activity at all, nor did they say that he was around when minors were present" 2) Michael Fisten (a former Miami-Dade homicide detective who worked as a PI for Edwards) said, "I interviewed hundreds of victims — people who were victimized by Jeffrey, worked with him, were part of his organization… Trump never came up involved in this part of his life anywhere, at any time, by anybody" 3) Jess Michaels, Wendy Avis, Marijke Chartouni, Jena-Lisa Jones, Lisa Phillips, Liz Stein, Sky Roberts, and Amanda Roberts all denied that they'd ever seen or heard of Trump doing anything inappropriate in relation to Epstein 4) Juan Alessi (Epstein’s longtime housekeeper) testified that Trump never stayed overnight at Epstein’s house and never got any massages 5) Virginia Giuffre testified that she "never saw or witnessed Donald Trump participate in [sexual abuse of minors]" 6) Johanna Sjoberg testified that she'd never met or given a massage to Trump 7) Anouska De Georgiou said she'd never seen any "impropriety on the part of President Trump" 8) Bill Clinton testified that Trump “never said anything to me to make me think he was involved in anything improper with regard to Epstein” 9) Maxwell told Blanche in her proffer interview that Trump “was never inappropriate with anybody” 10) The WSJ reported that Trump banned Epstein from Mar-A-Lago spa service house calls in 2003 merely for pressuring an of-age girl for sex 11) Former Palm Beach Police Department chief Reiter told the FBI in 2019 that Trump was one of the first people to call PBPD in July 2006 after the investigation of Epstein became public 12) Journalists from the Miami Herald and WSJ reported that Trump banned Epstein from MAL altogether in 2007 for behaving inappropriately towards a club member's teenage daughter 13) Edwards also wrote that Trump "was one of the only people who didn't resist talking with me about Epstein and instead provided helpful, often corroborating, information (couched as rumors) that I used to focus my investigation on some of the people ‘rumored’ to have more knowledge" 14) The NYT reported that Epstein, in his final weeks, was desperately trying to produce anything damning on Trump to offer to prosecutors in exchange for leniency, and came up with nothing Etc
