The Epics DAO Solana validator — powering ERPC's SWQoS endpoints and Epic Shreds delivery — has reached Top 5 (5th place, score 99.92) in the Shinobi Performance Pool. Including superminority-class large-scale validators outside the pool, it ranks 6th among all Solana validators globally. This follows our Top 10 announcement (9th place, score 99.91) on March 22 — a further climb in just 4 days. Solana is a distributed computing network whose performance is determined by the aggregate performance of each individual validator. The metrics evaluated by the Shinobi Performance Pool — vote success rate, vote latency, skip rate, and Compute Units per block — all measure how closely a validator tracks the latest block progression and how accurately it completes processing. Our validator's improvement contributes to the overall performance of the Solana network, and Solana's performance-based incentive design means our gains directly translate into higher returns for stakers. The Epics DAO validator operates with 0% commission and 0% MEV fees, so additional rewards from performance improvements are passed directly to stakers. This growth is not the result of a single major initiative but the culmination of two years of continuous validator R&D and operational strengthening now manifesting as concrete results. Daily improvements across every layer — hardware generation upgrades, OS kernel optimization, network stack tuning, IRQ affinity adjustments, CPU C-state disabling, governor locked to performance mode — compound and interact to produce acceleration that no single measure could achieve alone. Validator performance gains propagate across ERPC's SWQoS connection quality, Epic Shreds delivery speed, and Solana RPC read performance. Through the open-source tool SLV, we publish these R&D results in an AI agent-executable format, contributing to Solana-wide quality improvements. The Epics DAO Solana validator has climbed to 5th place (score 99.92) in the Shinobi Performance Pool — and 6th globally when including superminority-class large-scale validators outside the pool.
