@EinsamerWolf_x You follow Rowan Williams' Retirement Lover???
Why.
English

What's going on here? This is the second time in two days that a woman I follow here has published private messages from a man I follow, accusing him of offensive and disturbing behavior towards her and subsequent lies
Rose@providenceluvr
blocked this guy because he’s a massive creep who pursued me intensely when I clearly wasn’t interested and then confessed his love for me at rowan williams’ retirement conference, asked me to move to texas with him and started crying until I was so uncomfortable I went home
English

@providenceluvr >Rowan Williams' retirement conference
Sorry, that made me laugh. The rest is awful.
English

@providenceluvr Please think about how this would affect us in the massive forehead community.
English

@providenceluvr I asked Tony Benn a question after a guest lecture when I was an undergrad and he demolished me. Now he's dead and ill never get another chance.
Life is a series of closing doors.

@RunyaMahtan I should try Acrombe, support another Lancashire lad. Maybe some of the GRRM recommendations you've had will suit better than ASOIAF.
English

For younger reader fantasy, John Flannagan with the Ranger's Apprentice series or Brian Jaques with Redwall.
Older reader fantasy, Joe Acrombe or Mercedes Lackey.
All have unique elements, death, violence, but bring together good universes and stories. Joe Acrombe in particular is great at having darker universes with major character deaths without overusing that twist.
English

@RunyaMahtan Each to their own, but I think he is great in Fantasy and Science Fiction. I suppose Sandkings is a Horror story. Maybe I'm not familiar enough with Fantasy, I didn't really read long Fantasy books before GRRM other than Tolkien. Can I ask who you consider a good Fantasy author?
English

@ConnorCWilson1 I've heard a lot of praise for Sandkings, so maybe it's just the fantasy genre he's not good at writing in.
English

@DobbyClub06 When actually he's doing bloody good work with a difficult team and some very testing targets.
English

@providenceluvr My favourite Apostle. And second favourite tank engine (after Gordon).
