I'm sorry to say but a meta-analysis of a series of low quality studies without appropriate design or controls is not informative in any way. There are literally no conclusions that can be drawn from this. We need to stop doing this and do actual proper clinical trials.

Academia has produced far more PhDs than there are durable academic positions. The predictable result is hypercompetition - a zero-sum tournament for scarce prestige and security. Collegial norms persist rhetorically. But the underlying incentives reward cruelty - and Hunger Games–like behavior - because scarcity at the top produces opportunism. In that environment, a resignation, a cancellation, an illness, or even a death becomes an opening - a redistribution of status and institutional territory. People change their friends quickly. Contributions are publicly minimized or reinterpreted. Intellectual space is claimed. Credit is reassigned. What looks from the outside like continuity is, in reality, a scramble for positioning.

New pilot study shows two doses of psilocybin reduced symptom burden by ~40% in people with post-treatment Lyme disease (PTLD), with improvements in pain, fatigue, sleep, and mood lasting up to 6 months.
