I find the notion that Chelsea are getting Alejandro Garnacho “on the cheap” quite strange. I’ve never been blown away by him, but he has also very clearly been problematic behind the scenes at Manchester United. Not the kind of attitude clubs should be looking to recruit. #MUFC

The market has been set all summer for players like Alejandro Garnacho. No matter what Manchester United can't give in to Chelsea, who themselves set the market for players of this calibre. The club hold the whip hand, he's contracted through 2028 on cheap wages (£50k). £50m + add-ons or a sell on a clause is the absolute minimum they should be accepting for him - or he stays.

@ConnorSharman95 @UtdFaithfuls They are quoting 80m for Jackson but they aren't going to get it as clubs know hes 3rd choice now so his value will plummet over coming months. Same as Garnacho. Based on potential you are right he would be worth more but not in the circumstances that him and United are in now

Low salary. 21 years of age. Argentina international. 93 PL apps. 144 apps accross all comps. 26 goals, 19 assists. 3 years left on his contract. I'd be extremely disappointed if we sell Garnacho to Chelsea for £40m. They'd be quoting £80m to us if it was them selling.

I’d be happy with £50-60mil as I think he’s better than all their wingers they have currently. Madueke 52.5mil, I’d be expecting more for Gar
