My hottest Disney take is that Walt actually built Disneyland for himself specifically because normal parks (Griffith Park specifically) primarily catered to children and Walt wanted a park where he could play also. In most of his photos at Disneyland he’s there without his daughters. Walt built it for the adults

There’s a Christmas tree on top of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland, they’re playing Christmas music, and there’s even skippers telling holiday jokes. They need to just bring back the Jingle Cruise!
