Last Wednesday, the Omaha community came together for the 4th Annual Sams & Briggs Midsummer Classic at Tal Anderson Field. This game is about so much more than baseball. It is a tribute to the lives and legacies of Trevon Sams and Briggs O’Neill, two individuals who touched so many hearts. Trevon was a beloved player and coach at Omaha Central. Briggs, just 10 years old, was the son of Omaha North’s assistant football coach Todd O’Neill and the nephew of our attorney, David O’Neill. Each year, Omaha Central and Omaha North meet on the field not just as rivals, but as a community—celebrating memories, honoring lives, and supporting a cause that brings people together.
