I’ve seen a lot of discussion around Jason finally coming to DBD, and I’ve seen people calling others “fake horror fans” because they didn’t know who he was. As someone who grew up loving the horror genre, all I have to say is this:

there’s an au out there where we got a friday the 13th chapter in like 2018 with tommy jarvis and camp crystal lake and jason has all his movie skins and still has no pamela voicelines and no unique chase theme and is getting removed from the store in 2 months

Is there an actual reason they couldn’t pull out the stops and give us an original camp ground map for the anniversary 😭

According to Creators, who were given information by BHVR, this Jason is an original interpretation sort of like Ghost Face. He is not the same Jason as from the F13 movies, and his lore will probably be changed to reflect that.

Jason seems extremely cool, especially for the tenth anniversary. But I feel like that's the bare minimum. This has been two insanely popular asked for IPs for the anniversary in a row with no survivor. I get we will probably have one midchapter, but it still feels bad.
