@MayorWayneBrown We don't need a second harbour crossing. Traffic numbers haven't increased for 20 years. Half the people on the bridge are on a bus. Just introduce congestion charging and build that Bus station at Rosedale

A $9 toll, charged 24 hours a day, would not be acceptable to Aucklanders. We need a much cheaper option for a new harbour crossing

I've been watching the RNZ live feed and the Whiti Chit Chat page on Facebook as Whitianga is being hammered by the rain. There is so much surface flooding in Whitianga. Shops/restaurants shutting for the day. Cousin had to abandon her car and walk home due to flooding.
